AZAL to Bring Boeing-787 Dreamliner to Azerbaijan in 2014

Eldar Hajiyev, the Vice-President of Azerbaijan Airlines or AZAL, has said the company will bring the Boeing-787 Dreamliner to the country in 2014.

He said the new aircraft would enable AZAL to operate long-range flights to cities around the world, including in North and South America, Asia and Europe.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a long-range, mid-size wide-body, twin-engine jet airliner. It seats 210 to 290 passengers, depending on configuration. Boeing says the aircraft is the company's most fuel-efficient airliner and the world's first major airliner to use composite materials for most of its construction.

Earlier last month, AZAL presented its new Boeing-767-300 ER liner. Named "Babek," the airplane flew from the Boeing's plant in Seattle directly to Baku.
