According to sources in the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, more than 1.3 billion cubic meters of gas valued at $298 million passed through official cargo customs declarations.

Compared to the first half of 2011, the value of gas exports has dropped by 20.28 percent. A total of 2.08 billion cubic meters of gas worth over $373 million was exported in that period.

According to July 2012 data, gas shares in the overall volume of exports accounted for 2.34 percent compared to 2.61 percent in 2011.
