On February 13, Greece, Italy and Albania will sign an intergovernmental agreement on the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) construction in Athens.

The announcement was made public this Saturday by the Greek Foreign Minister, Dimitris Avramopoulos, after meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov.

The TAP pipeline will be transporting Azerbaijani gas to Western Europe, with an estimated capacity of 10 to 20 billion cubic meters a year.

The agreement negotiations among Greece, Italy and Albania are still pending.
