Azerbaijan Starts Technical-Economic Feasibility Analysis of New Satellite

Technical-economic feasibility analysis of the project on launching Azerbaijan's second satellite (Azerspace-2) will start soon.

U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has allocated grant to Azercosmos OSC.

Global Recourses Inc. has been chosen to prepare technical-economic feasibility. The study will cover technical, economic and financial capacities of the production of Azerspace-2 satellite, its launch, operation, financing of the project and other aspects.

The work within the grant project of more than half million dollars will be completed by July, 2014.

Azerspace-2 will be launched in 2017. The second satellite project will also be commercial.
